When I think he says you are already an author he means that if you read like a writer you will understand what the author is saying which makes you think like one. When you write or even text you make it sound interesting and even give Details even if it is just about you going to the store to get a sandwich. Some things that I write explain something to my mom because I would have to give a detail explaining how to do something. Most likely technology-related. Other than that maybe texting my friends wouldn’t be as long as me writing an essay because my friends have short attention spans even if I do that’s just how we are today. Maybe texting my girlfriend about my college life and how much it is stressful but at the same time how the degree will pay off and how I can’t give up. This will help me In college because we all know how to write however reading “You Are Already an Author” is about the writing styles you use to catch the reader’s attention and how you might open your Writing. It’s about who you want your targeted audience to be and how you can reach them, through the writing style, and what questions you want them to ask while reading your work. I would maybe try to use a quote that is a part of my reading and not a random question that doesn’t help it. Also, explain the environment where I’m in while I’m wrong so the reader gets a sense of the mood I’m trying to get across. Also, I read it as if I were a reader so that it wouldn’t be too boring for my targeted audience but also being informed and getting my point across.
