I decided to do research on genetics. I would like to research more about this topic. The research question is” How do genetic factors influence a medications and treatments?” The reason why I am interested in this topic is because genetic research is the study of human DNA to find out what genes and environmental factors contribute to diseases. This research will help me better detect, treat, and even prevent diseases from happening in the first-place researchers at the National Human Genome Research Institute are working with patients and families to better understand how genes can cause or influence diseases and develop new and more effective diagnostics and treatments. Understanding genetic factors and genetic disorders is important in learning more about promoting health and preventing disease 3. Genetics is the scientific study of genes and heredity, of how certain qualities or traits are passed from parents to offspring because of changes in DNA sequence. Also, I’m interested this topic because genetics is now intrinsic to modern biology, and genetic breakthroughs have impacted everything from our understanding of diseases and their treatment to the foods we eat and the clothes we wear every day 1. Here are some reasons why the study of genetics is importantly. What I expect to find in this research is that changes in allele frequencies that are identified in a population can shed light on how it is evolving. In addition to natural selection, there are other evolutionary forces that could be in play: genetic drift, gene flow, mutation, nonrandom mating, and environmental variances. I would also expect to know about how genetics research studies how individual genes or groups of genes are involved in health and disease. Understanding genetic factors and genetic disorders is important in learning more about promoting health and preventing disease 1. Also knowing the concept that genetic research can help us understand how medical conditions happen and how to treat them. For example, researchers are studying how genetic factors contribute to Alzheimer’s disease 2. In clinical or diagnostic testing, doctors search for a single gene or a few genes that research has strongly associated with a specific disease. The results enable patients and their doctors to make informed health care decisions together.

When I was a kid, something I was interested is being a teacher. I found teaching interesting because the way it allowed me to feel as if teaching is the most rewarding professions and it made me feel tons of joy. I am not interested in teaching anymore as I got older, I learned about science and it became more interesting which in my opinion, I did say it is in many ways. Which now that I am in college I realize and remember about the questions that helped with learning about this topic. I used to ask how it is possible that science has the ability to almost create the whole entire universe and the fact that science is powerful in many ways which is unexplainable to some scientists. My curiosity has changed and grown throughout the years by knowledge that science is what I desire to know about which is biology. Which science is important to what I want to major as which is nursing. I did say the education played a good role in the providing science because it helped me know much more about the subject and has provided me to make process on studying the subject.
