We learned three different viewpoints by reading the three articles, and the “ingredients” are all more comparable and obvious. Each post aims to educate the reader on some aspect of the author’s perspective and the experiences they’ve had throughout their lives. The same topic is covered in all three articles, which go into great depth about how it changed the authors and helped them grow as individuals. They each have a background from where they came from, which I really find beneficial for us as readers because it helps us comprehend the author’s point of view. They all want the reader to have a better knowledge of their lives and feel what the author is feeling. In the article, “Maybe I Could Save Myself By Writing” the author states, ” I didn’t make sense in the United States, but if I moved to México, I would make sense. All my questions about where I belonged would be answered. I could go and live a good, anxiety-free life.” The author talks about how living in the United States would be difficult for him. He felt out of place there, not simply because of the way he spoke but also for other reasons. The conventions throughout all 3 articles is that they all want us to understand their perspective and develop a connection to them as because of the details they provide. Some questions or concern is how I would know if the reader understood what I was trying to express. Or was I detailed enough for them to understand me. When talking to people, I find it difficult to express my feelings and go into detailed, but I would say that I love writing down how I’m feeling and even simply the details of my day so I can look back on them in the future. But I have trouble staying on a single topic. Without even realizing it, I would switch to a different topic and continue speaking. That is something I wouldn’t want the speaker to get confused or lost.
