Homework 1.3

From what I’ve seen so far the “ingredients” of the education narrative genre is experiences/events that happened in a persons  life and how they benefited from it. I think a good place to get started with your own education narrative is to write down a list of things that has happened to you doesn’t have to be bad unless you want that or that’s how life has been for you. After you get your list you can narrow it down to the main 3 things that you see has had the more impact for you then narrow those 3 things into 1. Some concerns and question about writing my own education narrative  I have is about how do I start the narrative off ? Do I start it off by questioning the event I’m talking about ? Do I say have you ever experienced what I’ve been through etc.? Or do I say what do a person in my situation do about it etc? If I was to start off writing my own educational experience I would give some background information on my life and school life as well. But as well I don’t think I have any educational experiences. Do you consider being embarrassed because my parents were immigrants and they had strong accents that I never really liked them going to my parent teacher conferences? I’m still confused on what you consider educational experiences. I did read the 2 articles where one person felt like they didn’t belong because they were an immigrant and the other where the person didn’t belong because  of the time period segregation was still going on. That’s the only question I really had.
