When Bunn says we as the readers are authors I think as if he’s basing on the fact that what we would write in school so that makes us writers as well since we’ve had a lot of practice. I tend to write letters , birthday cards and essays. I think the way we already use words on a day to day basis in our everyday lives can help in our college reading and writing career by helping our writing become more personal with our readers and better connections. Based on the article by Bunns he stated that the ways we read a book in this case is like having a regular conversation .And also if the way you write a book is basically a conversation just written or typed it shouldn’t be too hard to even write a book or essay just make sure it follows a specific format and make sure what is said the reader can gain something from it. I noticed in Bunns article as he mentions other professors that they all say that it’s okay to have a similar concept because authors do tend have similar ideas but write about it differently . Furthermore when Bunn mentioned that knowing ahead of time an assignment can make you a better write I personally understood that. I think that part mentioned above can also refer back to taking a test usually the teacher advises the students to read the question then read the article so you can get not only a gist but a better understanding of what you’re reading as well. Additionally another thing that Bunn mentions is that 2 questions to keep in mind when reading is what is the authors purpose for this piece of writing ? And who is the intended audience? But I do keep that in mind because everything does have a purpose.
