Questions

  • How do each of these designers/authors think you should approach design?
  • Include an example of contemporary typography/layout that embodies each of these three design systems or philosophies. And explain why!

Response

How these designers/authors think you should approach design is that we shouldn’t focus on making design “beautiful” and symmetrical but to make it clear and asymmetrical. We are also able to explore more in design than it was before where it was very limited to what you can do. We are able to create a more beautiful design when we can explore out of the box.

An example of contemporary typography/layout that embodies each of these three design systems or philosophies is Ed Fella; he uses words to create a bigger picture. He started using pops of color in his work including black and white. You can clearly understand the feeling that Ed Fella is showing you through his work using color and words to form a picture.
