The first thing I was able to take away from the syllabus is that this class is asynchronous, which is great for the sake of our schooling schedule. It also means that the responsibility of participation is a bit larger. Having no textbook also caught my eye. Using our resources is really beneficial for our learning habits. Also the amount of resources posted in our course description seems like necessity for our success in this class. Lastly the grading policy in the class seems interesting and I would like to know what the brake down of each essay grade will look like.

Hi Kayla,
Thanks for your detailed post! I will be giving you a more specific grade-breakdown (particularly for participation) as we go! A lot of students ask, “How can I participate adequately in an online class?!??!” We will get to that!
For now, just keep doing what you are doing! Keep up with the reading and the assignments, and alway reach out via OpenLab or email (MillerCityTech@gmail.com) if you are confused.
