After reading ” Shitty First Draft ” by Anne Lamott my view on writing as a process has changed only a tad bit. The particular reason for this circumstance is that I already had an idea that the first two drafts of your writing can be the most helpful. It changed my view a little bit because I never realized that even the best writers doesn’t come up with what to write out of the blue. Whenever I had to write an essay about me or something that happened in my life i always don’t know what to write, it’ll take me almost to an hour to come up with at least an intro. While I was reading I couldn’t help to notice that me and the author has some similarities. Like when she talks about what she usually writes on her first draft and how bad it should be at first because its a drafts and that’s when you write what’s on your mind, and then how some things that you wrote in the first drafts can be used for your final draft. I would always use that strategy in high school for any big essay and it will help me complete my final draft.

“How to read like a writer”- Jesse Narvaez
When Mike Bunn says ” You are already an author” in his article I think he means that when reading any type of article you should always put yourself in the author shoes while he was writing. I’ve never heard this quote before so that was the first thing that came to mind when I read ” You are already an author” What I liked about this this article was that it started off with a personal story sort off and then out of nowhere a how to guide article. While reading this article I notice how Mike Bunn points out things I usually don’t do while I read for anything in life, for example in a part of the text the author talks about the fundamentals of deep reading and the techniques the author uses to piece together his writing. Another thing I found interesting about the text is when Mike Bunn talks about the two ways of reading piece of writing, to better understand what he meant he compared how an architect and historian would write about a piece of architecture and how their perspective on it will be differ. The techniques that were mentioned by Mike Bunn, I will be using for future assignments just because I actually feel like it’ll help me, it’ll help wanna be more into reading a text. I also feel like this will change my whole way in writing and reading, it changes my whole perspective in any story I read and it’ll be like that every time I read something new for an assignment. In conclusion Before finding about this text the way ill read will be just read until you got what your looking for and that’ll be it but now I know is more to that and that ” Your already an author”

One word that can describe what’s going through my mind during these past few days is positivity and persevering. First semester I was feeling the opposite for the reason being that I wasn’t prepared and I had no clue what was in store for me and after a few weeks of classes I was feeling the pressure which impacted my confidence until I didn’t have any. But that only made me positive and be persevering for this semester, I’m way more organized with classes, I’m actually excited for my courses and overall in confident ill do more and better .
I chose this picture because I hope this is me and my friends celebrating what a successful semester we had.
