Unit 3

Brainstorm

The burst of Covid-19 pandemic has brought the World to the acceptance of a new reality in many aspects of our lives. Everyday routine has shifted from public performance to the distance isolation. The pandemic has brought changes to many fields like country’s economies, local businesses, hospitality and tourism industry, and healthcare. In the Unit 2 I researched the impact of Covid-19 on architecture field, how architects reacted to a new environment and their possible respond  to the pandemic in the form of future buildings.

In Unit 3 I would like to address my research in an informal engaging  form, which could interest not only the architectural professionals, but also the audience which has general information about architecture.

On of the genres I thought to write my article would be a science-fiction story in which the teller would travel in the future and describe how architecture adapted and surpassed the Covid-19 circumstances. I would like to use the information of the resources I used in Unit 2 to describe the new concepts and principles architects think would be appropriate for the future buildings.

Another genre, I thought would be engaging for the reader, is the form of dialog. The article would be based on sort of question-answer technic where the narrator would interview the world’s famous architects (mentioned in sources of Unit 2) regarding their justified vision on a future architecture.

The last genre I could write my assignment was inspired by one of the recourses in Unit 2, and is in a form of senior project presentation of graduate architecture student. The assignment would include the description of the public space, designed according to new Covid-19 circumstances and answering all the regulations and safety protocols. As an architecture student I had an experience of writing such a narrative statement, and well-composed article can interest a large variety of readers.
