My teaching approach is defined by my active participation in industry developments, which keeps my design thinking fresh and exciting. I strive to impart this enthusiasm to my students, so they not only approach their work with dedication but also feel that they are contributing to something significant for the greater good and making a difference.
Before coming to City Tech, I led an eclectic creative life. I began as a designer, then transitioned into a photography business, followed by a career as an artist with international exhibitions. Eventually, my work evolved into multimedia installation, where I united the disciplines of art and technology to create experiential environments that embodied my concepts. As an educator, I have continued along this trajectory, sharing my knowledge with students while teaching them how to make their own discoveries, instilling in them a sense of ownership, optimism, and confidence in their roles as designers.
Effective design is still determined by what resonates with the end user—what serves, educates, and entertains. I am passionate about inspiring students to pursue a creative life, just as I was once inspired. I have structured all my courses in the way I was taught: through discovery, exploration, and a journey leading to delight. I aim to instill confidence in each student’s inner creativity, regardless of the medium they choose.
My mission is to bring the magic of exploration into an arena of possibility for my students to absorb, transform, and make their own. I strive to foster discernment while maintaining a sense of vulnerability. I aim to share my experiences, knowledge, and references so that my students can fully devote themselves to the creative life they aspire to live.
