NYC Men Teach (NYCMT) is a partnership between the Office of the Mayor, the New York City Department of Education, and CUNY that aims to improve the diversity of the New York teaching workforce. Please let your promising students who may potentially be interested in a teaching career, know about this colloquium series, which will include session topics on resume writing, LinkedIn, and personal branding. The link to register is embedded in the attached flier.

As you likely know City Tech offers three degrees leading to teaching careers, a BS in Mathematics Education, a BSEd in Career and Technical Teacher Education and a BSEd in Technology Teacher Education. Students in these majors are eligible to apply for the NYC Men Teach program (fall 2020 application link – https://nycmenteach.formstack.com/forms/nycmt_application_fall_2020) which provides academic, social and financial supports (monthly MetroCards, etc.) and other opportunities for professional development and support.
