Mandy’s first day of freshman year of high school. Mandy lived only a block away from her high school, so she was able to walk to school. The name of the high school she attended was It Takes A Village Academy. On her first day of high school, she was nervous. This was a new environment for Mandy. It was going to be more challenging work and new people. It was going to be a new journey for Mandy. A journey to find out who she is.

On her first day, Bridget, her mom walked with her to school. The line to get into the building was super long because their was three schools in the same building. Mandy attended the first school which was on the first floor. She remembers waiting on the line to get into school, and how she saw this girl and boy in front of her, they were so loud. As Mandy, got into the school, she got a chance to meet them.

So after long time of waiting on the line to get into the building, Mandy finally got in. Mandy’s mom got the privilege to walk her to her first class of the day. Her mom wanted to make sure everything was okay with her. The first class she had was intergraded algebra. Math is one of Mandy’s least favorite subject. Her favorite subjects were history and English.

Mandy’s first week of high school was okay. She really didn’t have any friends yet but as she started to go to school more she made friends. Mandy knew a lot of people, even people from the other two schools. Mandy was a social butterfly freshman year of high school. School started at 8:10 a.m. and sometimes she would get there before her teacher that she had first period. So during that time, she had a chance to say “hi” to a lot of people she never seen before. Mandy’s nickname in high school was “shorty” or “short person” because she was short and small. She never took offense to it, this isn’t the first time she’s hearing this.

During lunch, Mandy sat with her classmates from homeroom. The students that she had homeroom with, were pretty much in all her classes. They all stuck together. So at lunch, we all sat together and there wasn’t really a lot of conversation. On the first day of school, there was a fight. The first day of school just got better hahahaha. Overall, my first day of school was an okay experience.
