Joselin Vargas, Critique on Truth and Beauty

Patchett goes into detail with the characters’ stories. The speaker explains how Lucy was a really popular person throughout high school, and I like the way the author uses these words to describe the scenery. However, they seem to know a lot about Lucy I’m actually curious what the speaker is like? The only thing that was described by the speaker which I believe is called Anvil was the story about the car accident and how Lucy is similar in their own ways. What made the speaker write about Lucy from all of the other people she could’ve picked.

Good question. The author writes and talks a lot about Lucy more than the other people. I didn’t think about that. I agree that the author really uses a lot of words and a lot of details to describe the characters, setting, etc.
