After reading the first chapter of Truth & Beauty, I’ve come to the realization that Ann Patchett’s work is very descriptive. When I was reading her work, I felt myself getting pulled deeper and deeper into the writing because she was able to not only able to capture my attention but keep me intrigued in the story. When she was describing her face after the car accident, she vividly described the cuts and bruises across her face including the facial lacerations and skull fractures. I could picture her cut lip and bloody hair. I enjoyed reading her story and I cant wait to see what happens in chapter 2.
