Short story writing for me has been about as neutral as can be.

I write, but it’s not like I’m writing with a purpose beyond completing the assignment.

I write, I publish, and I move on.

This is just how it is, I guess. I can write with more purpose, but that’s generally reserved for my personal projects. The entire scenario around the reason I’m writing here distorts what I can create through no real fault of anything but the school system. No matter what I write, it will always be look at by a teacher. It will always be graded. It will always be looked at by students who are just as neutral as I am.

And like I stated in my first journal, I’m fine with that.

It is how it is, and I can’t be bothered to change it.

I wrote, I published, and I moved on.
