Patchett goes into detail with the characters’ stories. The speaker explains how Lucy was a really popular person throughout high school, and I like the way the author uses these words to describe the scenery. However, they seem to know a lot about Lucy I’m actually curious what the speaker is like? The only thing that was described by the speaker which I believe is called Anvil was the story about the car accident and how Lucy is similar in their own ways. What made the speaker write about Lucy from all of the other people she could’ve picked.

I agree the author was very descriptive and did a great job at describing the scenery or certain situations. You made very good points that also made me think, what is the speaker like?, Originally I didn’t even think about that but now I’m wondering if the author ever describes the speaker later in the book.
