To get the most out off this class is use inspirations based on real life and go with the flow when writing, worry about the revisions later. I wish that someone would told me that real-life inspirations are helpful in creative writing before starting this class. A writing assignment I enjoyed was Memoir 2 because it gave me an opportunity to write about my past vacation at Hershey and a lesson to never take traveling for granted ever again. I learned that creative writing can use inspirations from real-life events. This class made me more interested in writing because I chose this class for a change because since last year I took classes in Urban Sociology and Race and Ethics because Covid-19 opened my eyes to systematic racism. I wanted to be a little more light for once.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
