It was parent teacher conference mama 

Rose and Leilani are discussing with Ms.

Pepper about her poor performance.

Scene 1

Mama Rose 

Hello Ms.Pepper, long time no see! How are you?

Ms.Pepper

 It’s been good! It’s so good to see you! It seems like forever .How are you?

Mama Rose

I would like to say good but looking at Leilani’s performance, I am utterly shocked. I thought she was doing well. 

Leilani 

*Nervous of what Ms. Pepper is going to saying because her mom’s strict and she has guy friends she speaks to.

Ms. Pepper

I noticed, well let’s look at her grades. She’s performing poorly in math and science. I don’t know how she’s performing so low, most of our students do so well. 

Mama Rose

I could imagine, her exam scores are very low, I don’t know what to do. We provide her with everything. She’s very spoiled. 

Leilani ( In her head)

I just don’t understand the work, it just doesn’t make sense.

Mama Rose

She doesn’t study, all she does is go on the laptop, talk to her friends and play games. No wonder her grades look like this.

Ms. Pepper

I think she gets distracted by her friends, boys will be boys and be loud so she doesn’t get to give her full attention.

Leilani

Scared for her life that she’s gonna get hit when she get home. 

*Looking at her mom slowly*

Mama Rose

*Already giving Leilani the death stare*

Oh really?

Ms. Pepper 

Oh yeah and I’ll be moving her seat soon. * phone rings*  I’m sorry I need to take this, please give me a few minutes.

Mama rose & Leilani

*Both nods*

Mama Rose

Boys? That’s what’s causing your grades to drop? Watch what happens when we get home.
