I like how Leguin portrayed non-fiction with her real life. The author utilizes a lot of literary devices which compared her husband with a werewolf. For example, the whole story begins with the author mentioning how her husband was righteous. “He was a good husband, a good father. I don’t understand it” This part also foreshadows how he becomes a bad person ” I don’t understand it” . Another part of the story that interested me was “if I could only see him, my true love, in his true form, beautiful. But only the dead man lay there white and bloody” Meaning that her husband wasn’t the same as before. I feel like many people have their opinion on this but I personally think that the author used foreshadowing, and irony to talk about her relationship.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
