Poem 1 – Ascend

To none of those adults with parents, that ocean arising.

To none of those adults with an abundance of companionship

Give them peace during a warm morning.

Take the love hungry angel into a world of hope and dreams

They can comprehend. Awaken, they scream at our escape

from a everlasting nightmare coming from the voice of past

memories. We stay out nevertheless while going back to

remember how a past stunts mental growth, keeping them at bay.

Poem 2 – Hello, Sunset

Sunny day out, cool breeze hitting our skin

moments feel everlasting around you.

Going around town living that teenage dream

feeling that special type of bliss that makes me ascend.

Being with you reminds me of those warm summer nights,

feeling an energy indescribably perfect.

It was love at first sight, your eyes, your smile,

wouldn’t trade it for anything.

They all told me not to trust you,

â€śthey’re not good for you, find someone else”

constant doubt from every direction

“you can do better, why are you like this?”

thoughts clouding my judgment as if it were my own,

Yet here I am, reminiscing about you.

Two opposite worlds colliding,

creating something so dazzling it makes the cosmos align.

Past, present and future all coming together as one moment with you.

Self doubt almost ending everything,

not feeling like we could last

fear, insecurity and uncertainty.

Meant to be with no regrets,

Blending into one,

living as one and going through life as one

We were meant to be

Poem 3- How

Can one embrace the silent euphoria

We absentmindedly create as our lids flutter closed?

As the muffled shrieks from innocent throats,

And blood curdling sights develop on the soil we share?

How are we expected to seek forgiveness at the feet of a white silhouette,

Why do we look up at him with such envy lying behind the orbs you perceive through?

How can you turn your cheek to those grasping on by fingernails,

Yet dash to those who lubricate the edges.

How can you tell of wanderous tales,

Those that speak of knights slaying demons,

Saving cities and civilians,

Yet

You judge those demons bent at your will.

Poem 4 – Wandress

The scorching sun beams laid upon her skin

and winds would cause her torn up dress to sway

although the sunlight never seemed to dim

her eyes had lost their color long away

The trail she left behind would stretch for miles

the desire she withheld her only guide

though he promised to wait for a while

her emptiness grows with every stride
