What I liked about Whatever happened to …. was how the author face so much misogyny and the hypocrisy. Anonymous’ husband’s lawyer pulled a photo of Anonymous having a good time (Anonymous 14). Anonymous was criticized for being a slacker and she was not one. She ended up paying legal fees instead of her husband. Her husband expected her to stay home and take care of their daughter while he tried to pursue a writing career. He was filled with rage and jealousy when he failed and Anonymous succeeded. If it happened the other way around, she would be criticized as a mad and crazy woman. One question I have for the writer is why did her husband talked about “Your mama gets away with too much…“?

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
