I did not enjoy writing poems at all! I had a hard time understanding the message in most of the poems we had as assignments. I like to read books but never gave any attention to poems growing up so that might be the problem I had such a hard time with them. It was good to dabble in something new for a change and get out of my comfort zone of reading only stories. I can’t say I will be reading poems more now, but I will keep an open-mined about them and try to read some simple ones that might help me to understand them more.
