Author’s Name: Anonymous

Title of Piece: “Whatever Happened to____?”

After reading Anonymous’s work, I gained an understanding of how it is like to be a female write, a wife, a mother, and a teacher. Not only is Anonymous a full time parent, but she is also a full time writer and a full time teacher. She must have so much stress, work, and responsibilities that the average person may not have. Reading her work showed me how how resilient and ambitious she is. She grades more that 1,000 word essays every 10 weeks and takes her daughter to swimming classes, all while preparing for her third book. That is amazing.

I enjoyed reading from Anonymous’s point of view. From her point of view, I was able to learn about her work and how she manages her responsibilities. It is really interesting to read about all that she does while having an abusive husband who continues to try to make her subservient. Through her work, I saw her resilience to continue writing. She had so many problems lined about against her. She was a full time parent, working as a teacher, and having an abusive non supportive, despite this she was still able to come out with a third book and go through with her traumatizing divorce. My question to Anonymous is, how was she able to stay motivated for her third book despite having so many responsibilities while living with an abusive partner?

Hi Amna, I couldn’t agree more. It’s amazing how many things she had on her plate and was still prepared for her third book and not just that, after everything she went through instead of leaving everything behind she decided to share her story with the world so that other women can relate to her and see that they are not alone.

Hi Amna grate critique! I agree, her story really shows her strength as a woman who had defeated the odds and came out on the other side still fighting to accomplish her dream as a writer.

Her story was not only about her , but also the many women who are facing similar situations right now.

Hey Amna, I totally agree with your critique response to the anonymous works, the author did in fact have many responsibilities to take care of. I loved the details you included about the tasks she has to complete working as a teacher being a mother and a wife for full time, I couldn’t agree more to ask the same, questioning her motivation and push factors for her success and future.
