1)  Mary Wollstonecraft writes this letter because after reading the brochure about the National education, she completely disagrees with the author, asks him to reconsider their views on the position of women in society. She believes that a woman should not only take care of her family, but also be educated, be equal to her husband. She must not forget that modesty colors women. Be a loving and beloved husband. Men should be like this way to marry, so that they would not have a desire for prostitutes, and spend more time with the wife and children. That did not give the woman a reason become licentious.

2) I would define D.C. as a place where the polish of manners hurts society. There is pleasure of voluptuousness reigns; minimal attention to decency, morality has become an empty name. There is a charity French woman to restraint and respect for cleanliness and delicacy in home life. Women take care of their bodies, but they have forgotten about chastity. Men do not idolize the personality of a woman, they treat women as slaves, wishing that they would constantly deal with children, sat at home, while visit women of easy virtue, thereby provoking their wives to desire to cheat on their husbands too

I think that the recipient of this letter is not part of this DS, because, the author of the letter believes that she is describing life in detail women in this society in the hope that the author will reconsider his views published in the brochure. Turning to him, she tries to open her eyes on the truth of the life of society in France at that time.

The following two points caught my attention:

Quote 1:”And modesty—the fairest garb of virtue—has been more grossly insulted in France than even in England; the ·minimal· attention to decency that ·even· brutes instinctively observe is regarded by French women as prudish” (pg 1)

I believe that what she saying can still be applied to our lives.  It may still be relevant now. I think humility it is the quality of personality, which should be inherent in every girl or  woman and of course this quality should be respected by men, so highest rated for their respect and reverence for women. But still there are a lot of women who consider this an unimportant quality that this can be neglected.

Quote 2:”Fighting for the rights of women, my main argument is built on this simple principle: If woman isn’t fitted by education to become man’s companion, she will stop the progress of knowledge, because truth must be common to all; if it isn’t it won’t be able to influence how people in general behave” (pg 2)

I believe that only universal education can drive progress in the world, improve our lives. If only part of the population preferably men, will be educated, then the innovations that our make life more interesting and convenient, they will hardly penetrate into our life. This applies not only to family life, but also to work, politics and of course, the self-development of each person individually.  And if in the family one person is educated and the other is not, then there is no support for the development of what then the abilities of the first. He is hardly given some kind of interesting business, there is no interesting interlocutor, like-minded person, of course such a person will bring less benefit to humanity than if he had a person who understands and supports him.
