Thanksgiving 2020–not your usual Thanksgiving!

It’s almost Thanksgiving, and unlike usual Thanksgiving weekends, I won’t be visiting family for Thanksgiving or friends for Friendsgiving (usually on Friday). Instead, I’m going to be Zooming with friends and family all weekend long. I don’t know what plans you have, but whatever they are, please stay as safe as possible. New York City has done an awesome job getting our COVID numbers down, but it’s very easy to forget about the virus now–which can lead to an uptick in the virus.

Anyhoo, this week is a week to think, revise, and think again. I want you to examine the evaluated Writing Assignments of Unit 1 and Unit 2 (remember the private messages where I gave praise and offered suggestions or asked questions?) and look at Unit 3 and think of ways to improve that project. Then, I want you to decide which of the three assignments you’re going to revise for a higher grade and write about it before you hunker down and actually do the revision.

That’s it–your assignment in a nutshell. Go to the Agenda for Week 14 to see the details.

If you have questions, come to my office hours on Tuesday or Wednesday. There will NOT be an office hour on Friday, so if you have a question, ask BEFORE Thursday! I won’t be going anywhere, but hopefully the weather will be nice enough for me to lounge in my neighborhood’s little park–if it isn’t nice, I’m going to binge on Netflix! (I will be evaluating your Unit 3 as well, but at odd hours.)

Happy Turkey-day (or Tofu-erky, if you’re vegetarian like me)!
