The discourse community that would benefit the most from my research on Climate Change is the American public. This issue of Climate Change has been an on going problem for years and will only continue to worsen. The American public have some sort of a background knowledge of climate change however, they do not have the valuable information they need to know. The American public have raised concerns to this issue as recently, as this year. When they put up a clock in Manhattan earlier this year, it displayed how much time we have left to commit to change to our environment. Americans were brought awareness to this situation with this clock and it is on them to continue to research and learn more about climate change. Thus, my research on climate change would be valuable to the American public giving them the ability to learn more in depth within the rising sea levels and temperatures. The American public would benefit from this information so they are aware and informed of the problem on hand and it is now on each of them to slightly change their daily lives in using more renewable energy. The news and social media such as twitter or instagram would be the best way to reach the American public. It would be very easy to inform them via social media with nowadays almost every American owning a social media account.

Office Hours: 1 to 2 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation through email each week. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If the above times don’t work for you, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email.
