The discourse community that would benefit are the green politicians, and corporations that have a history of building resilience and preserving nature. The first have access to funding, the latter have funds themselves. Since the subject of deforestation is a globe scale, the emotional visualization should open and close the text. This could be the images of deserted areas that were occupied by rainforests, or even humanized crying trees that are about to take their fate from angry, unshaved, illegal loggers. The middle of the text should contain reliable excel-styled or just diagrammed data that should show the existing conditions, the forecast along with the numbers that are the function of the solution of the issue. I think the main concern that might arise is how to address the knowledge they learned or refreshed and put it on track of delivery, or as the minimum, how to make it accessible to all parties who have the ability to help with global deforestation. I would love to implement an audio that changes from sounds of forest to aggressive chain sawing but this may be an overkill and lack of serving the purpose.

Office Hours: 1 to 2 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation through email each week. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If the above times don’t work for you, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email.
