Hello ENG 1121, my name is Joseph Mastrota. I am a Junior at CityTech and I am enrolled in the Legal Studies Bachelor program. I am a continuing education student so I am normally much older than the average student. I have completed 4 years at St John’s University in 1985 as a Criminal Justice major. And since then have been either in city of federal employ for 30 years. After separating from both agencies I decided to put my GI Benefits to good use and attempt to reinvent myself as a student of law. I began studying at CityTech in the fall of 2018 and many of my credits transferred, accelerating my advancement towards the degree. My plan is to work part time or by telework as a paralegal. I also would like to volunteer my services pro bono on cases I feel passionate about, if I can align myself with a firm that will accept this agreement and trust me. This is speculation of course until I get out and about in the field.
