This is not my first paper or bibliography but I was having a lot of difficulty finding information about immigrants in the United States. The sources I found would date back to the 1980’s and 90’s and there was very little on recent times. I wanted to focus on the immigration climate today as now more than ever we are seeing huge waves of immigrants come into the United States and begin to settle in major cities that are already crowded enough. Some of the topics I wanted to cover were also hard to find as many immigrants work in cash only jobs which doesn’t depict a full story to the public, and understanding the social and cultural climate of neighborhoods would only be possible through real in person interviews where the voices of the community can be heard not just put on social media but put on a much bigger platform for the world to see. I learned from this class to create a broad question and with the research I do I can change the question to fit the research I have found while still making it a question I want to research.
