Huimei Liao, Unit 2 questions brainstorm

  1. Politics: Who should be making major decisions that would impact generations?
  2. Old aging in the political system: The oldest justice on the Supreme Court is 74 years old. Normally, when people reach this age, they would choose to retire, but being in politics is different. They can serve a very long term. Thus, I raise some concerns: are people from the previous century able to accept new ideas? Can they really understand what the younger generation wants, or are they just following what they believed in the past? Are they able to catch up with today’s society and needs? For example, the oldest justice on the Supreme Court is 74 years old.
