Douglass, Malcolm X and Jiang had inspirational stories were getting an education wasn’t easy as it is now. They all convey the message that education is incredibly important and its worth obtaining. However, all authors had to face obstacles and hardships to get their education. For example, Douglass was a slave that had his rights stripped away and the chance of having a education. While Malcolm was a African American were at the time racism was at a all-time high restricting the success of African Americans and their education. Last but not least Jiang she had to achieve a education while both of her parents were dead and the only person, she had left which was her grandma was illiterate. All these authors shared the hardships but they also share the same success. All of these authors gained an education through determination and persistent.
