The Memory of my Grandmother by Anita Jiang, The narrative of life by Fredrick Douglass, and Learning to read by Malcom X are all education narratives. Education narratives are essays or text which center around the author and a detailed explanation of their experiences. All three of these text tie into this idea as Jiang’s piece centers around her personal experience with her late grandmother as they both when by their day to day lives, Fredrick Douglass is a detailed autobiography as to many methods he learned to read and write despite all the challenges which presented themself to him, lastly Malcom X records his experience of going to prison now having the time to properly tackle his negligence of not knowing how to read or write opening up his world. All off these text are not only in first person view but as said earlier center around the experiences of the author.
