The degrees at city tech are inclusive and depending on what you are interested in, you can find something for you. They range from nursing, hospitality, nursing, dental hygiene (like myself), computer engineering, and the list goes on. Today, I had a look into the hospitality classes that city tech offers, and I saw culinary classes first hand. I learned that there are many options in hospitality including culinary, hotel management, beverage, and owning your own restaurant. We also got more information into the nursing major, what is required, and the possibilities that you have with a nursing degree. This includes travel nursing, bedside, and case management. One thing I did not know is that your licensures have to be renewed every few years (years vary my major). interesting class today!

At city tech there are a lot of different degrees levels you can achieve depending on how far you wan to or are required to go on your major. For instance in the nursing major, you can take do your associates degree and take the test and graduate and using that you can be able to get a job in the field of you interest. However though within the that graduate time of the your associates degree, you have a 10 year time span to level up to the bachelors degree as it is required. We were also carried through the likes of hospitality classes and how they work in the kitchen hands on and their producers to keep themselves and the foods clean and the people eating the food safe. That was cool to actually see it happening behind the scenes.

City Tech has some interesting programs that offer, most of it has to deal with the medical field. My major that I believe to get into is dental hygiene and it’s interesting I see other fields that require almost the same classes as me. Today city tech staff gave us a tour of culinary and a different professor gave us details of nursing. I didn’t know city tech was a massive department for very different kinds of majors and how many people choose nursing. Dental Hygiene was a passion I have and got into the program soon. I’m glad I chose this school because it’s a different community which is beneficial to all students and staff.

City Tech has a lot of Intresting profana to look at. My major is radiology and it’s Intresting how I have to take similar classes to those is diffrent majors such a nursing. I also learned the hardships of getting into nursing and that it’s actually more than just assisting doctors but rather assisting patients as well. I also learned how city tech has culinary classes and that they have a while large kitchen and that they make food as a lab grade which was also very Intresting.

They range from nursing, hospitality, nursing, dental hygiene, computer engineering and etc…. I also learned about parts of the building I didn’t know about for example the kitchen but most importantly I learned that being a nurse isn’t easy and it comes with a lot of responsibilities and you have to put majority of your time in it.
