Mohammed was born in a isolated place called Barisal, away from the big cities. He always witnessed poverty throughout his childhood, but it never affected him because his family owned a lot of land and they were finically stable. Growing up Mohammed barely lived with his father because his father lived in the U.S to support the family back home. Since his family was land owners he was able to afford the most prestigious education, he attended the best school in the city. Even though he personally never had to face poverty he will understood the pain of the less fortunate, his ambition is to bring change to his city and end poverty. At the age of 10 he moved to the U.S with his mom to live with his dad in order to receive more advanced education. He adapted to American school with ease education wise, but it was quite difficult for him to adapt to the western way of life especially the western accent. In time he adapted to American life style, he was a straight A student until 10th grade before losing sight of his ambitions. In his junior year of high school everything started going downhill, he started focusing too much on social life than anything else. He went from being a honors student to barely passing any of his classes. Before he realized how much he messed up, high school was coming to an end and he had to attend summer school in order to graduate. Currently he is attending City Tech in hopes of redeeming himself and still holding on to his ambitions.

Vanessa Espin

On January 2010, Vanessa received her High school diploma accompanied with amazing friends and wonderful memories. She had been living an unstable life with her family. For some reason they never stayed at one place for long. They would move from town to town or back and forth, from Ecuador to the United States and vise verse. She would always have to leave behind good people and thing she was attached to. Starting all over again always came with a feeling of excitement but also a lonely one. Once again at the age of 17, Vanessa had left New York to move back to Ecuador. Now all this had made her immune to sad goodbyes. She didn’t know how long this would go on? Will she ever finish school? Will she ever find and keep good friends and most important will she ever find herself? In this process she got left behind a year because she was suppose to attempt summer school and lost 7 months because school had already started in Ecuador. The finishing point kept moving further and further. This period of her life was important to her, It not only made her a better person but it was also the first time in a long time that she felt very happy to be close to all the members of her family, she also met her best friends and had a great time in school. Although she had to say goodbye once again, this time she knew it was the right time to leave and this time, she did cry goodbye.

My Life in the 3rd Person by Ibrahim Barry

Once upon a time in a not very remote place lived a boy named Ibrahim. He had almost failed to meet the requirements to graduate high school. In his last year of high school most students got the feeling of finally leaving high school, that they forgot they might have a little bit of improvements to do in their class grades and just start being lazy to do the work. Ibrahim was one in a many students in that category.

Ibrahim was easygoing in his last year of high school. He had passed all the major requirement which are the regents and also had good grades in all of his classes. So he decided since it was his last year in high school he should cut some classes and maybe it would not affect his grade a lot. During economics class the gym would be open. So he skipped during  economics class and  kept it going for about two weeks. He noticed his economics class grades decreased suddenly to a point of falling the class. So he checked and found out he had missed five home work assignments, two quizzes, and one class test. He started to get worried that with this sudden decrease of his grades he would not be able to graduate high school.

With the sudden decrease of his grades in mind, Ibrahim stopped skipping classes and stayed after school every day to make up for his lost grades. When staying after school, he saw some of his friends who are in the same position as him. He worked with them and they all improved their grades in no time. Two months passed and graduation was finally here. Ibrahim could not believe that a while ago he was in the verge of not graduating and now he is graduating. It was a long time coming but it had finally come.

My Life in 3rd Person – Cesar Peña

He doesn’t always believe he’s been living for 19 years, Because he only remembers his life starting at the age of 5. Fourteen long years ago, a small dominican boy arrived to the stage known as New York City. He refers to New York City as a stage, because he was always told this was the place to show your talents to the world, and hopefully succeed.

When he first came to New York City, he wasn’t sure on what his talent was specifically, and if he would gain success through his talent. But his parents explained to him that there was one answer for certain success, and it was to get an education. Ever since Cesar was a young boy, the idea of going to school was drilled in his head. But Cesar was far too young to quite understand why something so boring as school, was needed or was rather important for his future. Cesar focused on the better or what he thought were the more pleasurable things in life, sports. Cesar fell in Love with the sport of basketball at the age of 9 years old. He found it quite disappointing that his 3rd grade gym teacher did not allow third graders to play with regular sized basketball, for “safety purposes.” This still didn’t stop him from playing the sport. With false rubbery basketballs Cesar managed to practice the sport he loved to play. Cesar had dreams of making it far with his basketball talents, but he wasn’t always sure if this stage was the right one for this.

My Life in 3rd Person

How to express Mitchell Jacobson’s concert experience on January 20th, 2015? He had ordered tickets during the previous October for a band he had been following since his earlier days in adolescence. Little did he know the adventures he’d have that day. One day during a return journey to New York from North Carolina, Mitchell found out about an opportunity to attend a very exclusive Q & A session with the head lining band. He had sent in his application from his cell phone in the middle of Charlotte Douglas International Airport. He would not hear back from the team running the event for another 2 weeks. One day, he discovered an email congratulating him on his acceptance to the event. He immediately began checking all of his time schedules for the day of the concert so he would not miss his VIP meet and greet with the bands following the Q & A. Sure enough everything had been set in motion. On January 20th Mitchell set out to The City to begin one of the greatest days of his life. At around 11:45 am he arrived at the YouTube space located above the Chelsea Market on 9th Avenue. After a persistent 3 hours of waiting the event began and Mitchell had learned additional information about the event. It was also a private acoustic performance to be uploaded to YouTube.com. The event ran longer than expected and Mitchell quickly became stressed for time. After the event ended Mitchell accompanied another invitee with the same VIP credentials. They then set out in a cab to the venue in a hurried pursuit against time itself, only to realize that once they had gotten there the events were being held back until everyone had arrived. Everything went smoothly thereafter. The concert atmosphere engulfed Mitchell. For that night he was on top of the world. He made friends, he had meaningful conversations, and he moshed his heart out in to the late of the night. Returning home that night ended his perfect experience.

Senioritis by Angel Vallejo

Once upon a time there was this boy named Angel. He had senioritis his last year of high school. Going into your last year of high school most students gets that overwhelming feeling of finally graduating, that they get so lazy and just start to slack off. Angel was one of those students.

Angel was very laid back his final year of highschool. He passed all his regents and he only needed to worry about two classes, so it was basically a cake walk if you asked him. He often got to school late because his lazy behind did not want to get up in the morning. You would think that this is going to catch up with with him, but boy are we wrong.

Angel’s final year was actually a success report card wise. He barely did homework but seen his average increase each and every marking period. He was shocked because he felt like he didn’t deserve such high grades, but like a normal student he did not question it and instead appreciated it.

How can you forget about the complaining ? The amount of times the sentence “I can’t wait to graduate” was said by Angel , the mathematicians would have to come to come up with a new number. He was just so anxious to leave, he felt like he was in highschool for such a long time. Months past and graduation finally came. Angel couldn’t believe it. A part of him felt like he was going to miss high school, but he got what he wished for.
