Hi, I am Zoya Raja. Everyone can call me Zoya. My pronouns are she/her. I was born in Pakistan and moved to the United States in 2016. Now, I am living in Brooklyn, New York. My major is Computer System Technology, and currently, I am a junior at City Tech. Even though I donāt have any favorite author, I like Urdu poetry, especially from the 1800s and 1900s. Those poems/poetry donāt have a literal translation in English, so I am unsure if anyone will understand them here. Besides poetry, I love music (BTS) and animals. I always wanted to adopt a cat and a rabbit, but recently I found out I am allergic to many animals, which is quite depressing. I do have a bird. His name is Blue for apparent reasons. He loves sleeping and eating on my laptop, especially when I am attending a lecture or just studying in general. I hope to get along well with everyone in the class and gain knowledge from and with everyone. Thank you.

Hello everyone! My name is Alejandro Xie and my pronouns are He/Him. I was born in Peru to Chinese parents and came to the states when I was two. You can call me Alex although Alejandro is just fine as well. I live only half an hour away from City Tech in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood. I’m currently studying for a BA in Computer Systems. My favorite author is Michael Grant for his chilling yet engaging “Gone” series, but J.K Rowling (with respect to her books, not her controversies) and Roald Dahl are childhood favorites of mine. I loved Eric Carle’s childrens books as well, it’s really sad that he passed away last week. I also love to work out and am a big fan of any media involving time travel.
My name is Jean Holmi Germain, a Health Sciences student. I am from Haiti, and I live in Brooklyn. My pronouns are He and Him, and I can be addressed as Jean. Among all the authors that I know, my favorite is Roxane Gay because I like the complexity and the beauty of her writings, especially in her novelā Bad feminist.ā I love animals; however, my favorite is dogs, as you can notice in the picture below.
