Merazul Forhad

Greetings! My name is Merazul Hasan Forhad. My pronouns are He/ Him. I was born and raised in Bangladesh. My major at CityTech is Construction Management & Civil Engineering. My dream has always been to be a government engineer. The main craftsman behind my dream is my father. My father was a government engineer now he is retired. Seeing his peaceful life has inspired me to stay in the same profession. I have two more siblings but I am the youngest. I really like to do mathematics and read old storybooks. My favorite author is Humayun Ahmed. Also, I love to do is to search for any good information and know the details. I am currently working on how to make bricks or blocks by recycling plastic. On the other hand, to me, reading and watching fictional or dramatic things are helping me to understand other people’s perspectives and creativity. Moreover, I truly believe that good fiction or drama can help any person to become a better person. It also teaches me compassion, humanity, and the importance of loving each other.

Finally, one last thing that I would like to share is that I am very outspoken but shy at first. Once I am comfortable, I am very talkative (tying to stop).

Introductions: Yuliya Kruchynina

Hi Everyone,

I’m a one week late for my introductions post – got a little bit lost between BB and Open Lab.

I’m Yuliya (it’s literally Julia with 2y in it), I’m from Belarus originally and that is how my name spelled in passport.

My pronouns is She/Her.

I’m mostly familiar with Russian classics literature and drama; F Dostoevsky, L Tolstoy, N Gogol, A Chekhov and etc.

My personal favorites probably N Gogol – for his drama and tragedy in the “midst of the sunny day and blue skies”;

And A Chekhov -for such an anguish and emotional  strain, that it is impossible to stay not- invested))

Im posting a picture of snake, because I recently read that they flick their tongue to actually feel/taste the environment and the air around them ,

due to luck of ability to see or hear well. And somehow i find it fascinating.

Introduction

Hello everyone,  my name is Sehar Khalid. My pronouns are she/her an most people think my name is spelled Saahar since this is the way to say my name. I live in Brooklyn and have lived here my entire life and plan on never leaving this city since I have cherished so many moments here with many people. But on the other hand I am Pakistani since that is where my parents are from. My major is Applied Chemistry and I honestly love it even though I do struggle at times, but the harder the struggle the greater the reward.  I am very easily drawn into reading things that suddenly draws my attention so I dont have a favorite author. The picture below is my first time on a helicopter in Las Vegas one month before the COVID 19 lock down hit.
