Hello, my name is Evelyn Alvarez and I’m a freshman. I’m from Mexico and Ecuador but lived here my whole life. I currently live in the borough of Queens, NY.  My major is computer science. Some of my favorite interests include listening to music anytime, anywhere.  I’m not a big reader but I would like to get into reading more. I find it difficult to just sit myself down and read a book because I get distracted really easily. I love butterflies, specially how symbolic it can be. Butterflies to me symbolize freedom, rebirth and transformation of oneself.
