What I think is that both society and technology need to evolve in order for new media to further evolve, but technology and society is always changing everyday so new media will never reach its full potential because people always want to better whatever technology already exists and evolve it changing society’s needs then new media will also change and that will be the cycle that I believe will continue to go on technology will change society will change then new media will change. For example back when film was first introduced everyone knew they had to go to the movie theater to watch a film then speed things up to modern days and now you can watch films from your tablet or computer even your phone so since technology changed society comes to follow people know that if you miss a film at a movie theater you don’t have to wait months to ever see it you can watch it online so that necessity of having to go to the movie theaters dies off because you know you can watch later on your tablet, phone or computer, then that changes the way we retrieve content changing new media.
