You would have thought there was a substitute teacher in the room. We continued to do whatever the hell we pleased the whole class. It felt like being given extra time in recess in kindergarten. Mr.Rivers continued to yell and yell until he couldn’t anymore. Suddenly there was a weird eerie feeling in the classroom that felt very unsettling. Then finally, The he snapped.
“WHY CAN’T YOU KIDS LISTEN TO ANYTHING?? ESPECIALLY YOU ANTHONY YOU WONT BE ANYTHING GOING DOWN THIS PATH”
My jaw dropped. As the class all turns around and in unison and stares at me. Everybody knows I don’t like being called by my government so the facial expression I gave said it all. You could see the steam stream out of my ear drums . I sat there and wondered “why me?” In my head. I didn’t understand why out of the 22 other kids in class he chose to out me and embarrass me. Though, maybe those words are what I needed to hear all along
