My Mentor Text is : Bystander Intervention Guide by Stand By Me

https://communitiesinc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Bystander-InterventionQuick-Guide-to-Reporting-Hate-Crime-ISD.pdf. Stand By Me is a company and they hook the audience by speaking on behalf of people being involved in bad incidents but the bystanders avoid getting involved to help the victim. The Company incorporates research by explaining how being a bystander affects society.  The writer of this mentor text uses the research to inform the audience when people should get involved in incidents that can be stopped. This Text is structured with a clear timeline of what a bystander is, when you should get involved, and how to support someone in an incident. There are 10 pages and the primary audience is the public. The writer closes by encouraging the audience to take action instead of not doing anything when you are aware that the victim is being hurt. This will help assault rates go down because of the assistance of the community. I think the company’s message is to see what is going on to figure out whether to involve yourself in the situation or not and make sure you and the people around you are safe as well. I will not include visuals in my project but I will be using Canva to show images and display my message.
