His journey shows the intense struggles students can face and the increasing measures universities are taking to address what some experts call the campus mental health crisis. Increase. Part 3: Reflection
In the article we see the author trying to show a narrative that the college kids are becoming more and more depressed and that the college is having to act as a therapist. Instead of creating better situations where the students aren’t being stressed to their wits end, and ending up depressed. As more and more of the college students are becoming stressed and depressed the colleges have not been keeping up with the new demand from the students. If anything they have actually lowered the availability to the students that need help, limiting the amount of times a student can visit a counselor top 12 times at Queens College. With the unready rush of students during the Mid-Term the counselors get bombarded. I find this unacceptable with the rates of tuition that some schools are charging with the budget for the counseling center. But it’s not the fault of the counselors but rather the fault of the system for building pressure. Along with the new social involvement with apps like instagram, students have to deal with more expensive tuition, and new society issues. It builds up by causing the issue of the students being overwhelmed. I can relate to this as these new responsibilities as being a new college student can be a daunting task. With these new tasks to deal with I have to make sure to not fall into that hole of depression and burnout. It’s nice to see other colleges around the country try to find and make these “Relaxation Stations” but it’s not going to solve the core problem with we the students being swamped with so many things to manage. With many of us having to work along with school to get an education. Until we start to manage ways to allow students to focus fully on their education.

First sentence needs author title MI—Remember? Why do you start with: His journey shows the intense struggles students – WHOSE JOURNEY? This is a confusing first sentence for a summary. You have too many quotes. In fact your summary is more quoting than your own writing. What are the MI’s? What are the Supporting Details? Were you in class for the lessons on HOW to WRITE A SUMMARY?
