My research question is: What is the effect of social media on young adults? The topic interests me because of how negatively it has already affected many young adults. I feel that more people should inform themselves a lot more on this topic and speak about it. Seeing how it has affected people around me and even myself from time to time , makes me want to learn more about the effects. I already know that social media can cause poor academy performance. From what I’ve see, it also causes depression and anxiety. Social media can also result in raising doubts about self-worth. Some points that I plan to explore and find out more about are how long before these feelings start to form and in what ways can we help prevent these feelings from forming in young adults?

Are you sure that these possible sources are readable and understandable. Journal articles are usually for psychologists and might be very technical and full of medical jargon.
What about searching through NYTimes as I suggested. Try to put “your RQ and NYT” in a google search bar.
