Success Tip Esha

Tip 1: Participate

This tip would be important to me because I always used to get shy so I never participated in class while I was in high school. In this class i would use this tip by working in groups and asking questions and helping my classmates if they need help. I would also make notes on points about which I agree or disagree, and will note ideas, points, concepts you do not understand. When I was in high school I didn’t get to participate it really just made me left out and made me not understand what was going on in the class and i never used to understand the topics. This made me realize that it needs to change and now I do feel a little confident so i need to participate. I also think that everyone should get a chance to participate cause it does make a lot of stuff easier.

Tip 2: Ask for help

This tip is very important to me now because i never used to ask for help because i thought the teacher would think that i’m dumb and don’t understand anything. But I think it’s very important to ask for help because if you don’t understand something you need to ask someone to explain it to you. Also in this class if I ever need help I’ll ask a classmate or the teacher or the group i’m working with. Also asking for help makes you smarter and more confident. In high school I never used to ask for help and because of that I always used to get bad grades but now i’m in college I will ask for help whenever i don’t understand something. Also its important for us to understand the things we are learning so we need to ask for help when we need it

  1. I can agree with you on asking for help and being shy to participate because I was shy girl in my early years where I would sit in the corner and cry whenever the teachers call on me but I found childish when I turn 9 years old so I took some baby steps on getting better on participate. My loved ones would teach me by telling me to breathe in and out for couple of times then try to talk to myself in a clear tone by recording it, so it’s easier for catch if I am going too fast or slow. Ask for help is a great tip because there’s a feeling inside of you wanted yourself to get help. Once you get closer to the peers, you would found it easier to speak up.
