Reading Response RLW and FDouglass — Rafael Rodriguez

Part A: “When you Read Like a Writer (RLW) you work to identify some of
the choices the author made so that you can better understand how
such choices might arise in your own writing. The idea is to carefully
examine the things you read, looking at the writerly techniques in the
text in order to decide if you might want to adopt similar (or the same)
techniques in your writing.” I chose this quote because we use this in our every day life, people do things and carefully analyze what they are doing, for example when we are driving you are analyzing the person in front of you carefully so you wont crash, this quote represents how people should act everyday. I learn the importance of reading like a writer.

Part B: “There was no sorrow or suffering for which she had not a tear. She had bread for the hungry, clothes for the naked, and comfort for every mourner that came within her reach.” this mean that there was no sorrow or suffering she haven’t seen, she provided food, clothes and comfort for the people in need that she could help, she was a very generous woman that has seen all the people has suffered.
