Blog 9 – Folksonomy – Reading Response

The article on Folksonomy explained in detail what Folksonomy and it in comparison to Taxonomy which is part of where Folksonomy got its name. Folksonomy is basically the art of tagging to make a shortcut to a certain blog/picture entry making it easier for someone else to find. It can be easily used for research so if you find something you can easily go back to it by searching the tag you used in it where Taxonomy is a longer way its like using a regular search engine its a longer process, with Folksonomy one can go back to something quicker with the tag and it can be customized  it is also away to keep in touch with someone like yourself that may have the same interest they’d look up your tag and find what it is you found of interest.
