When it comes to knowledge, money will always be involved. When medical students study diseases, treatments that are pursued are mostly drug related. This is because natural cures don’t bring in revenue. Time is money, and the time put in to decipher the cause of disease much be compensated for accordingly. For instance if you were studying heart disease, you wouldn’t give people the option of drinking certain teas or eating certain fruits. There’s no money in that, instead you would look to create a pill that will contain heart disease if possible. You will want to create a pill such that there’s progress, but the patient remains reliable on it. This way you make a continuous profit. Also the government or corporation involved will demand that you go about your research this way so they gain a huge profit of your work.
