I am not surprised that users are against ‘News Feeds’ on Facebook. That just makes privacy harder to achieve. I wonder if Mark Zuckerberg would be frustrated and confused about receiving ongoing information about others he claims are his’ friends’. I appreciate his attempt to get the situation under control with “Calm down. Breathe. We hear you.” Just because he is the Facebook CEO, were those words alone, enough? Now, pictures are the gateway to being exposed. That picture is online FOREVER. I am also not surprised about invasions either. People are always curious about strangers online, and that is the downfall of Internet unlimited access. Viruses are sitting ducks. I agree with Boyd that “control is lost with social convergence”. It’s not about one person anymore, but the whole society’s demands.
