Companies like Muve and Cricket wireless do offer a fair alternative for lower income consumers who are looking to download music. The record company are also benefiting from these transaction because otherwise their property would be pirated without an compensation. Now with that said, I can’t say that i know anyone in the discussed demographic that pays for music. Although it is illegal, downloading music for free through a ginormous list of sources has become commonplace in our society. It’s my beleif that if the $10 per month unlimited download is the selling point for these compaanies in the future they will no last. It was clever of Cricket wireless to improve the phones they offer to there customer, however this also may not be enough.
