The digital era has definitely changed not only the way books are written today, but also who has the ability to publish them. Previously an author would have to have to come with the idea for a book an begin the process of creating it. This author would then begin the lonely process in which only a possible publisher would be included in the progress. However to day with blogs and other social media, the reader can directly affect the outcome of the book.. The author is now getting direct feedback and suggestion from the people who would purchase their work. Also in the digital era an author does not need a publishing company to print an distribute their material, they can sell it in a digital format such as a pdf, nook, or kindle… I think this allow the author to cater directly to their audience
