Research can be extremely exciting when one is highly interested in a particular research topic. I am looking forward to learning more about research because I want to improve my research skills. Also, I plan to continue reading nursing and medical journals after I graduate, so I can explore new studies and new knowledge available. One thing in particular that I need to learn is how to check on the reliability of a source. I hope in this class I receive the guidance I need to get in order to be able to access the best sources available for the topics I am interested.
What is your favorite research experience?
Last summer I enrolled in a nursing class called Geriatrics. I came home from work after a double shift and had four hours to sleep and to do one of my papers as I had to go back to work the same day. I was very tired, so I prayed before. I used our library website and I made a paper in less than an hour and I used more than ten sources. I got 100 on that paper. I wish all my work would come so easy and fast as that one. This was a unique experience, definitely my favorite one. However, most assignments with more than five sources require a long time to be completed, sometimes more than a week.
I look forward to researching because I love learning new things even if It’s not something I’m normally interested in. I look forward to improving my skills and becoming for efficient in research. My favorite research experience was in a past Human Biology class, where we did extensive research on the body and illnesses that affect it.
I do look forward to research when it’s something I’m interested in. Im naturally curious, so when I get a chance to dive deep into a desired subject I take it. My favorite research experience would probably have to be when I needed to buy a new saxophone and surveyed other players, compared brands and models and play tested a few.
Research is something I usually do not look forward to because it involves sorting though masses of data in order to find the ones I need. The only time I would look forward to doing research if it is on something I have a interest in. My favorite research experience would have to be researching video-game console and through research i would make my decisions.

2.Is research something you look forward to? Why or why not?
Yes, I am looking forward to be actively involved in the research such as interviews, surveys, observations and analysis because it would give me hands on experience and allow me to learn about a subject that I want to investigate and learn from. I will become more engaged in critical thinking and problem solving skills. Research participation will further my knowledge growth and allow me to be well informed in my community. I will also be working as part of a team because much of what we will do is working together with others.

Two semesters ago I took Human Biology course, I had to dissect a rat and examine the inside part, It was very interesting and I learn many thing in this Bio class also it made me comfortable working as part of a team.
Research, reserach is somthing we naturally do with out even noticing. If it’s tryign to find a new route to get to school or work on time, to finding a new place to go with friends or just to find answers to your homework. No matter what you need to do you research to find the right information. I look forward into expanding my knowledge on research and how to better my skills in this class.
I enjoy researching new places to go and new activities to do with friends.
Last semester in one of my classes the professor would ask us to share our experience in a new restaurant or in a different food we’ve tried during the week, and for every week i had the opportunity to do some research to find new places to go to so i can come back sharing my experience so others can try the new places i found so they can enjoy it as much as i did.
With out a little research you’ll never be able to learn new things out there 🙂

Research is definitely something I look forward to, though it can be a lot of work. It’s more exciting than ordinary classwork because you actually go out and discover something on your own.
My favorite research experience so far was a project on the major causes of subway delays in New York City: litter fire, a sick customer on the train, construction, signal malfunction, and extreme weather. The cause most feared by motormen, however, is a 12-9: a body under a train. In order to research this, I gathered a lot of documents online and also interviewed an MTA investigator. The topic interested me because I’m very interested in all aspects of transportation, and have loved the city subway system since I was very young.
Research is something i look forward to doing because i do not have too much experience doing it so i hope to learn from this course.
my favorite research experience was two semesters ago me and my group had a research assignment on the american dream, we each took time to look up what it meant and regrouped and discussed what we all thought it meant in our words.
research is not usually i look forward to. personally it really depends on the topic of what i need to search. i like to research every thing that interest me much, such as new places to travel, or it might new things that will expand my knowledge.
Initially research is not something I look forward to, especially when it comes to papers but at the end of every research assignment I have been given since middle school, I have always increased my insight on the topic which led me to keep up with it. This class specifically I am looking forward to because before the first day I thought I was doing everything I could in a research project, but there are so many layers and things to observe and learn it almost impossible not to have fun with it.
As I’m working with new technologies I’m very interested in impact of technology on the human psyche and the development of society. I’m also working in real estate and the big part of my work is an information about buildings and about neighborhoods, the age of the buildings, their history. My little hobby is a market prediction for different areas of Brooklyn and Manhattan for investment. I usually search in different data bases or web sites and sometimes call the managements to know the history. I know that this course will give me more information on doing research on the topic I like so much, real estate.

Research for me is very overwhelming when there is so much data and one have to carefully examine all the data to determine what is important and what isn’t, it is also very tricky when it comes to citing all your sources so as to not take another author’s work and pass it off as your own. By the end of this semester I hope to learn more about how to judge an authors credibility about an topic and how to determine whether or not the information is factual or biased based on another person personal experience.
My favorite research experience was a couple of semesters ago where my group members and I used the library’s database and also gathered primary source data such as surveys and interviews to bridge the gap against population that are often stigmatized.
Research is definitely something i look forward to. By researching things, my learning process grow in many ways. my strategies about finding out things and be more specific going through details. Research consist of sources that provide information’s and you can further explain yourself by be more thoroughly specific breaking down these information.
My favorite research was when i had to find out what power does lightning has on flowers and their growth. i had to buy about 8 bouquets of violet flowers and different set of lamps and light bulbs. i had a red , blue, yellow and green light bulb. My scientific research did not meet my expectations because i picked the yellow light bulb for great nourished flowers after all. i had to reject my hypothesis because the blue light had the best result overall.
Is research something you look forward to? Why or why not?
Research papers were always my worst nightmare. Not only is it because of the number of pages required, but also the stressful process of searching for reliable sources which I did not even have an idea where to begin. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to write papers on topics of strong interest which helped to get over that hump. However, it still does not help with how strenuous researching for credible and interesting information is.
What is your favorite research experience?
Last semester, I took up a intro Hospitality Management course and was lucky enough to have a project where I had to conduct research of a neighborhood in New York City based on a specific demographic. It was a light and fun research project that required more hands-on work as opposed to reading articles and searching the web for journals. I have always believed that hands-on experiences are often times the most rewarding and teaches me the most.
I look forward to research because I like to find out about new places and things. It wasn’t a hobby or an interest of mine. Research became interesting when I started to learn more about artistry. As I began to read and ponder , I became more curious about what happened or what lead to whatever I was studying. The interesting thing about research it never stopped. It only lead you to other doors and because I’m so inquisitive, I decided to open them. My greatest research I ever done was on the Harlem Renaissance and the comparison to the movie Great Gatsby. I really enjoyed that project and I found out a lot of things during bother periods and how it correlated. Nevertheless, everyone does research whether they know it or not. Its just how in depth the person actually go to find out more information.
